The Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories is bringing its expertise and support directly to the community of Olds. A Mobile Rural Navigator will be available monthly at the Olds Community Connection Centre to connect with individuals living with Dementia and their care partners.

The Town of Olds is moving into Phase Two of the Water Meter Replacement Program, an important part of the community’s ongoing work to modernize and strengthen water infrastructure. Beginning this fall, approximately 820 more homes and businesses will receive smart water meters, replacing older mechanical models with more accurate and reliable technology. Since 2024, meters in 730 homes in Olds have already been replaced.
Smart meters help residents detect leaks early, improve accuracy, and support long-term water sustainability.
The Residential Yard Waste Drop-Off Area will remain open until mid-November as long as the weather remains decent. As a bonus, we are setting up a temporary pumpkin drop-off area so your pumpkins won't take up space in your black bins.
