The Town of Olds is excited to announce the seasonal opening of the Residential Branch Dump and Grass Clippings Area on May 1, 2025. Located at the Operations Centre on the west end of town, this program provides an easy and environmentally responsible option for residents of Olds to dispose of yard waste, including branches, small trees, shrubs, and leaves.

On March 28, 2025, Olds RCMP was dispatched to a report of a serious assault that occurred in the Town of Olds. Upon arrival, a female victim was located with multiple serious injuries. Investigation led to a male suspect being identified.
On March 27, 2025, Olds Crime Reduction Unit observed drug trafficking activity in the Town of Olds. With the assistance of Olds RCMP, a traffic stop was conducted, and subsequent to an investigation, 238 grams of suspected methamphetamine were located.
