Summer Camps

2026 Summer Camp Registration will open March 2026!

  • Location: Due to electrical maintenance being done at the Sportsplex, the 2026 camps will take place at the Olds United Church 4810 50 Street, Olds, AB. This location provides campers with ample activity space, easy access to the aquatic centre and access to nearby parks.

  • Field trips will be finalized closer to camp start dates. All necessary information will be sent to parents/guardians.

We welcome all children ages 5-9, including those with varying disabilities. Those who should have an aide present are required to have a qualified attend for the duration of camp. Campers should be prepared daily with their packed lunch, snacks, water bottle, indoor shoes and attire for all outdoor weather. Fridays will require campers to bring their swimsuits and any additional needs for a safe and fun time at the Olds Aquatic Centre.

Camp Costs:

  • 5 Day Camp: $215
  • 4 Day Camp: $185
  • Single Day: $50/Day

Extended Care:

Pre Camp from 8:00 AM - 8:30 AM

Post Camp from 4:30 PM - 5:00 PM

Cost: $45/week

Week 1: July 6-10

Wild West Quest: Saddle up for a week of Wild West adventures filled with games, crafts, and hands-on activities both indoors and out. Campers will explore life in the West Country through a field trip to the Sundre Museum and local parks, discovering history, nature, and plenty of old-fashioned fun along the way.

Sea and Safari: Dive into an exciting week exploring the wonders of the ocean and the wild world of safari animals. Through creative activities, games, and discovery-based play — plus a field trip to the Calgary Zoo — campers will learn about animals, habitats, and creatures from land and sea.

Fossil Finders: From Jurassic giants to Jumanji-style jungle fun, campers will dig into the past with hands-on exploration and imaginative play. This prehistoric-themed week includes games, creative activities, and an unforgettable field trip to the Barney's Drumhellar

Amazing Race: Camp becomes a globe trotting adventure as campers team up to solve clues and compete in daily challenges! They will build communication skills, leadership and experience the excitement of teamwork while navigating obstacle courses, decoding riddles and tackling twists. This amazing race will continue on to Kirks Alpaca Farm which will be our adventure time! It will be a lively laughter filled week where every camper gets a chance to shine!

Week 5: August 4-7 (4 day camp)

Mystical Creatures: Enter a magical world of dragons, unicorns, and all things mystical and a little bit carnival! Campers will enjoy imaginative games, crafts, and adventures, topped off with a special carnival day featuring fun games, activities, and favourite carnival treats.

Infinity & Beyond: Blast off into a week of space-themed fun as campers explore planets, stars, and the mysteries of the universe. Games, creative projects, and out-of-this-world activities lead up to an exciting field trip to TELUS Spark.

Movies, Media and More: Lights, camera, action! Campers will watch, learn, and create during this hands-on week for movie and media lovers, with plenty of creative projects and behind-the-scenes fun. The week includes a visit to a local radio station and a collaborative summer event in the park with the CLC and BGC Olds & Area.

Week 8: August 24-27 (4 day camp)

Active Action: Wrap up the summer with an energetic week full of classic summer fun. Campers will enjoy a variety of games, outdoor activities, and adventures, including a trip to the Little Red Deer River for active, nature-based play.

The ZONE Youth Centre

Located in the lower level of the Community Connection Centre (4911 - 51 Avenue)

The ZONE is a youth drop-in centre that is designed to meet the interests of the youth using it. A partnership between BGC Olds and FCSS, the ZONE is a place to make meaningful relationships, increase confidence, learn social skills and assist in making positive lifestyle choices.
