Paying your Utility Bill

The Town of Olds offers many payment options. Choose the option that is right for you and return your payment to the Town of Olds on or before the date shown on your bill to avoid late charges.

Pre-Authorized Payments

An easy and convenient way to pay your bill is though Pre-Authorized Debit. No missed bills, no missed due dates! Sign up for Pre-authorized payments either:

In Person

You can pay utilites in person by cheque, money order, credit card, debit or cash at:

Bank

You can pay your Town of Olds Utilities bill through your financial institution. 

In Person 

Before making a payment in person at your bank, confirm that your bank accepts "in-person paper payments" using the remittance stub of your utilities invoice. 

Some financial institutions will process payments at a teller only if their clients have been set up for online banking.

Online

Payment can be made through your online banking. You need to add us as a payee; the payee name will be "Town of Olds – Utilities". Remember to allow several days for processing the payment to avoid late fees.

When making a payment online, confirmation from your bank is your receipt. No further receipt is issued by the Town of Olds.

Should you own multiple properties, payments made through internet banking must be designated to each utility account to ensure they are applied to correct account.

By Mail

If you wish to pay your utility invoice by mail, send a cheque or money order and the remittance portion of your utility invoice to the following address:

When sending your payment by mail, allow ample time for the payment to arrive prior to the due date. The Town is not responsible if payments are not received.

Virtual City Hall

The Town of Olds Virtual City Hall is a platform that makes it easier for you to manage accounts.  The platform allows users to:

  • View current/past utility bills
  • Sign up for pre-authorized payments
  • Sign up for e-billing
  • Pay utilities by credit card
