Happy New Year and welcome to the first Town Newsletter of 2025. As you might have heard, the Town is actively seeking partners and opportunities to dispose or repurpose several of its vacant and underused properties. This is part of a larger strategy to ensure Town-owned properties are providing best value to the organization and to the community.

The upcoming Mid-Winter Green Bin Pick-Up will be happening from January 6th to 10th, 2025.

The Town of Olds and Mountain View County are pleased to share highlights from the Inter-Municipal Cooperation Committee (ICC) activities in 2024.

The 2025 Town of Olds Budgets have been approved. Budget 2025 has a large focus on infrastructure renewal and making services better for everyone.

The Sunshine Bus provides affordable and convenient transportation for seniors, those with mobility challenges, and the general public.

The 2025 Municipal Operating and Capital Budgets were approved December 9, 2024 in the amounts of $35.88M and $5.52M respectively.

On Friday, November 29, 2024, at 11:17 PM, the Olds Fire Department was dispatched to a residential structure fire at 4617 48th Street in Olds following reports of an active fire in the basement and an occupant trapped inside. Upon arrival, fire crews encountered light smoke and fire conditions in the basement living area. Tragically, a deceased male was located at the scene. The fire was quickly extinguished, and minimal damage was sustained by the residence.

The Town's Winter Road Maintenance policy has recently been updated, introducing new activation levels for both roads and trails.
