About the Olds Sportsplex Facility Study

The Town of Olds hired experts to study the current condition of the Olds Sportsplex and plan for its future. This report looks at how the building is holding up, what repairs are needed, and what upgrades should be made over the next 30 years.

The study shows that about $15.7 million will be needed over time to keep the Sportsplex in good shape. Around $5.9 million of that is needed right away for important repairs.

It also explores two other options:

  • Renovating and expanding the current Sportsplex (around $58.5 million)

  • Building a brand new facility (around $85.8 million)

This information will help Town Council and staff make decisions about the future of the Sportsplex.
