Stay engaged and share your thoughts, concerns and ideas about our community with a Town Councilor. Help make Olds a better place to live, play and work.
Coffee With Council is a Town Council initiative to help council members to directly communicate with the public and answer any questions or concerns you have.
Sessions in 2023 were quite successful and council has decided to continue the program.

Did you know?
Olds Town Council is elected by residents of Olds every four years. Our Council is made up of six Councillors and one Mayor.
• Council plays a crucial role in making decisions that shape the current and future direction of the municipality. Their decisions are formed largely through public input.
• Council must act as a group, and no one individual has more say than the rest. One person, one vote.
• Council is not involved in the day-to-day operation of the town, instead they guide what will be done while administration (i.e., Town Staff) decides how it will be done.
• Council is your voice! They represent the interests, concerns, and needs of the Olds community and its residents.
• Councillors listen to residents' concerns, address their questions, and gather feedback to better understand community needs and aspirations. Council makes choices that are in line with the best interests of the community, taking into account public feedback, provincial and federal legislation, and economic realities.
