As of May 2026, the Town of Olds joined the Red Deer County Regional Intermunicipal Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB).

The SDAB is a quasi-judicial board that hears appeals related to planning and development decisions. Board members receive training and are compensated for hearing appeals. Established by the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board Services Bylaw 2026-17, it serves municipalities across Central Alberta. All board members receive formal training and are compensated for participating in hearings.

Appellants are cautioned that if you mail the appeal it must be received on or before the final date for appeal.
