OFFICE MOVE & TEMPORARY CLOSURE

The Town Of Olds Is On The Move!

To better serve our residents and improve operational efficiency, the Town Office is relocating to
the Operations Centre located at 3501 70 Avenue. This exciting move brings all administrative
and operations staff together in one central location — including Town Council meetings.

Temporary Closure Notice

To accommodate the move, both the Town Office and the Operations Centre will be closed to the
public from July 5 to July 20. During this time, staff will be relocating and preparing the new space.

Reopening Date

The Operations Centre will officially open to the public on Monday, July 21. We look forward to
welcoming you to our new, modernized facility! There will be an open house scheduled for early
September to provide a building-wide tour to the public. Stay tuned for details!

The new address is 3501 70 Avenue, Olds.

Council Meetings During The Move

Monday, July 7 and Monday, July 14 Council meetings will take place at the current Town Office
(4512 46 Street).

Live streaming will not be available for these two meetings, and there will be no recordings. Citizens
are encouraged to attend in person and follow our website for agenda, minutes, and highlights
documents.

Still Here To Serve You:

Even while our doors are closed, we're still here to help:

  • Phones will remain staffed and our team will continue answering calls.
  • Bill payments can be made via online banking, Virtual City Hall, via mailed cheque (to 3501 70
Avenue), or via the secure drop box. The drop box is located at Town Office 4512 46 Street
during the transition to new address.
  • For service requests or concerns, we encourage residents to use the "Report a Problem" tool on
our website for the fastest response.

We appreciate your patience and understanding; minor service disruptions may occur as we
complete this important move to serve you better. For updates and more information, visit www.olds.ca/news-and-notices/posts/municipal-mini-welcome-to-the-new-olds-municipal-centre/ or follow us on social media.

UPCOMING ENGAGEMENTS

Coffee with Council July 10th

Council will return to the Olds Farmers Market July 10th from 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM. This is a come and go
event and we encourage residents to drop by, say hello, discuss any issues you may have, and hear what
the Town has ongoing or upcoming.

More information about this event can be found at www.olds.ca/councilcoffee.

Land Use Bylaw Review

July 10 also marks the start of the Land Use Bylaw (LUB) engagement.

Our current LUB is almost 25 years old, has been amended hundreds of times, and is out of sync with modern development practices and needs. Reviewing and updating it will allow us to better serve the public and grow our community in an efficient and responsible manner.

  • Find out why the Land Use Bylaw matters to you at www.olds.ca/LUB2025.
  • The LUB Survey is open until July 27 and can be accessed at the above link.
  • A virtual LUB Open House is available from July 9 to July 27 through the link above.
  • An in-person LUB Open House is scheduled for July 22 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM in Jean’s Place at the Community Connection Centre, 4912 51st Avenue, Olds.
  • And watch for other engagement opportunities throughout the summer to hear more and share your input.

Budget Survey is Open

Our 2026 Budget Survey is now live and is open until July 17. Go to www.olds.ca/engagement and share your opinion with us.
