You Might Be Surprised What Mountain View Power Has Helped Make Possible in Olds

From the disc golf course and public art to local sports, storefront improvements and the Food Bank, Mountain View Power has helped support a wide range of projects across Olds. These are just a few of the local projects that have received a helping hand from Mountain View Power (MVP).

A new video from the Town of Olds takes a look at some of these projects and shares a pretty neat story about how they came to be.

Here's how it works. Mountain View Power provides electricity and natural gas, just like other energy retailers. The difference is that the profits go back into our community. Since 2023, nearly $402,000 has been invested through the MVP Community Grant Program, helping local groups turn their ideas into something everyone can enjoy.

And there's more to come. The grant program is growing to support even more ideas that bring people together, make better use of community spaces and help make Olds a great place to call home.

It's a nice reminder that some of the best things happening around town start with a simple idea and a little help to bring it to life.

Take a look at the new video and see how many of these projects you recognize.
