Uptowne Olds Storefront Beautification Grant Already Making Its Mark

The Town of Olds and Mountain View Power (MVP) are celebrating the first wave of transformations under the Uptowne Storefront Beautification Grant—an initiative aimed at enhancing the unique character and visual appeal of the Uptowne Olds area.
Launched earlier this year, the program provides a total of $20,000 annually in funding through MVP, with up to $3,000 available per applicant for projects that refresh and revitalize local storefronts. From new paint and upgraded signage to full façade renovations, the grant is helping businesses create an even more welcoming Uptowne experience.
The 2025 recipients include:
- Bubbles and Brew Tea Corner
- C&S Convenience
- Fair Haven Landscaping
- Jensen’s Men’s Wear
- Nutters Bulk and Natural Foods
- Olds Liquor and Beer
- The Plant Place
- Tracks Pub
With work now underway, the first before-and-after transformations are already enhancing the community.
“We are really starting to see the impact of the MVP program in Olds,” said Guy Lapointe, Director of Community Services. “Our customers are sparking positive changes that benefit everyone—from small businesses to local groups. These upgrades add new energy to Uptowne and reflect how much can be achieved when the community works together.”
The next round of applications will open in early 2026, with recipients announced in time for summer construction season.

MVP’s commitment to community reinvestment extends far beyond Uptowne Olds. Previous projects include $10,000 toward Kiwanis Place at Centennial Park, enhancing accessibility and recreation, and $35,000 in support of the Mountain View Emergency Shelter, providing vital resources to vulnerable residents.
