Olds Fire Department Responds to Motor Vehicle Collision

On Sunday, May 24, 2026, at approximately 9:37 AM, the Olds Fire Department was dispatched to a single-vehicle rollover in Mountain View County near the intersection of Highway 2A and Township Road 322. 

Emergency crews arrived to find a passenger vehicle that had left the roadway. One occupant had been ejected from the vehicle and was located in critical condition. Responders from Fire Services, EMS, and the Olds RCMP immediately initiated life-saving measures and requested assistance from STARS Air Ambulance. 

The patient was transported by STARS to Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary with injuries that are currently undetermined. 

Emergency crews remained on scene for approximately two hours. Traffic in the area was limited to local access only during the response. 

The cause of the collision remains under investigation by Olds RCMP. No further information will be released at this time. 

Emergency services would also like to remind motorists that using recording devices, including cell phones, while driving past emergency scenes is unlawful and may result in enforcement action and fines.
