Municipal Mini: Town of Olds Partners with Olds College Arboriculture Program & Students

The Town of Olds is pleased to partner with the Olds College Arboriculture Program starting on October 15 and 16 to provide much-needed maintenance and clearance pruning for the mature tree canopy located at the corner of 54 Street and 50 Avenue.

This collaboration gives students a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in municipal tree care, safe work practices, and community stewardship while working with guidance from industry professional instructors. Through this real-world learning experience, students will develop practical skills that support the future of urban forestry.

Residents are encouraged to be mindful of work activities in the area and to watch for these future arborists as they help care for our community's urban forest. The Town of Olds appreciates the support of Olds College and its students in preserving and maintaining our valuable tree assets throughout the fall and winter season 2026.
