Municipal Mini: Briegel Playground Is Getting A Little Glow-Up!

Starting Monday, July 6, Briegel Playground will be closed for approximately 4–6 weeks while we replace the existing playground surfacing with Engineered Wood Fibre (EWF).

So... what's the deal with this Engineered Wood Fibre stuff?

Engineered Wood Fibre isn't your average pile of mulch. It's specially designed for playgrounds to create a smooth, "knitted" surface that improves accessibility for a wide range of mobility devices, including wheelchairs, walkers, and crutches. It also provides excellent drainage, contains no bark or leaf debris, and is engineered to minimize splinters while being durable and easy to maintain for years to come.

Every playground needs a little TLC now and then. This is Briegel's turn!
