Municipal Mini - 2026 Spring Clean-Up Events Return to Olds
Spring is a great time to clear out what you no longer need, and the Town of Olds has two upcoming events to help residents reduce, reuse, and dispose of household items safely.
Kick It To The Curb runs May 8–10, 2026. Residents can place unwanted but usable items at the front of their property and mark them with a “FREE” sign. It’s a simple way to give items a second life while helping neighbours find something new-to-them. Want to get the word out? Post your items on our Kick It To The Curb Facebook Event Page so folks can find them! Any uncollected items must be removed from your property after May 10, in accordance with Section 36 of the Community Standards Bylaw.
The Pop-Up Transfer Station runs May 22–24, 2026, at the Town of Olds Municipal Centre, 3501 70 Avenue. Hours are Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Saturday from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, and Sunday from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Registration is required.
This service is available to Olds residents only. Each household can bring one vehicle load, or the equivalent of one level truck bed, at no cost. Regular household waste and hazardous household materials will be accepted all three days. This includes items such as paint, batteries, aerosol cans, lightbulbs, and more. Tires will not be accepted.
Whether you’re giving items away, cleaning out the garage, or safely disposing of household materials, these events are a great way to take part in spring clean-up and help keep Olds clean.
