Briegel Park Playground Is Open!

We're excited to share that Briegel Park's playground is now open and ready for families to enjoy!

As part of the playground improvements, the previous washed gravel surface has been replaced with Engineered Wood Fiber (EWF), a specially designed playground surfacing material that provides:

• Improved impact attenuation to help reduce the risk of injury from falls
• Better accessibility and maneuverability for wheelchairs, strollers and mobility devices
• A more comfortable and natural play surface
• Excellent drainage to help keep the playground usable after rain

A new playground border has also been installed to help contain the protective surfacing and keep it in place, ensuring the playground remains safer and easier to maintain over time.

Please note that the rock climber play feature remains temporarily closed while we wait for replacement parts to arrive. We appreciate your patience and will provide an update once it is ready for use.
