2026 Annual Hydrant Flushing Maintenance Continues

Please be advised that our utilities crew is continuing the Annual Hydrant Flushing Maintenance that began on June 18, 2026.

Work will start today, July 14, in the Central quadrant of Olds and will be ongoing throughout the rest of the town over the coming weeks. This routine maintenance is essential for ensuring water quality and maintaining our fire protection infrastructure.

An alert has also been issued through Voyent Alert to inform residents who have subscribed.

What to Expect:

• Water Discoloration: You may notice temporary discoloration or a slight drop in water pressure while hydrants in your area are being flushed.
• What to Do: If you experience discolored water, simply run your cold water taps for a few minutes until the water runs clear.
• Water Safety: Please be assured that the water remains safe to use and consume. Our utilities crew is actively monitoring the system throughout this process.
