Town of Olds Announces 2025 Spring Clean Up Programs

Spring in Olds is the perfect time to clean up, give back, and clear out. The Town of Olds is excited to bring back two popular clean up programs. Kick It to the Curb and the Pop-Up Transfer Station are designed to help residents refresh their homes and contribute to a cleaner, more vibrant community. These free, easy-to-participate-in events make it simple for everyone to help keep households and the Olds community organized and clutter-free.

Kick It to the Curb: May 9–11 (Friday to Sunday)

Pass along your unwanted items. Put gently used items at the curb marked “FREE” for others to take. It's an easy way to clear out furniture, toys, tools, and other things that could be useful to someone else. Please remove anything left over after the weekend and consider dropping them off at a local second-hand store. Share what you’re giving away or find items you need using #OldsKickIt2025 and post it to our event on Facebook.

Pop-Up Transfer Station: May 23–24 (Friday and Saturday)

Friday, May 23 from 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Saturday, May 24 from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Hazardous Household Waste:  Both Days

Location: Town of Olds Operations Center, 3501 70 Avenue

Get rid of household waste and hazardous materials. This two-day event offers residents an easy way to safely dispose of household waste and hazardous materials like paint, tires, batteries, and lightbulbs without having to drive out of town or pay disposal fees. One level truck-bed load per household will be accepted. Registration is required and must be completed between May 1 and May 22. To register, and for a full list of accepted hazardous materials visit www.olds.ca/springcleanup.

The Town of Olds is proud to support these initiatives, contributing to a cleaner, more engaged community. We encourage all residents to participate and help make this year’s clean-up a success.
