The Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories Staff Now Offering Monthly Support in Olds

The Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories is bringing its expertise and support directly to the community of Olds. A Mobile Rural Navigator will be available monthly at the Olds Community Connection Centre to connect with individuals living with Dementia and their care partners.

This initiative is a valuable opportunity for residents to access crucial information, support, and resources close to home. Whether you are seeking to learn more about a recent diagnosis, looking for support services, or simply want to connect with the Society, a Mobile Rural Navigator will be on hand to assist.

"We know that navigating the experience of dementia can feel isolating," says a spokesperson for the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories. "By establishing this regular presence in Olds, we hope to make it easier for people to access the understanding and support they need right in their own community."

The Olds Community Connection Centre, which houses Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) for the Town of Olds, recognizes the critical importance of aging well in place and supporting loved ones through life's challenges. Hosting the Alzheimer Society is just one of the many ways FCSS works to support the seniors and older adults in the community.
