Municipal Mini - Fall Washroom and Port-a-Potty Update

As the weather cools down, our Parks team is busy winterizing washrooms around town.
That means you’ll start to see fewer port-a-potties open — our contractor will be closing and servicing units as part of the seasonal change-over. We will be going from 28 in summer down to 9 for winter.

Port-a-potties remaining open for winter:

  • Centennial Park (3 units – including an accessible one)
  • Rotary Athletic Park / Toboggan Hill (2 total units)
  • Highlands Pond Area (1 unit)
  • Off-Leash Dog Park (1 unit)
  • Imperial Park Ball Diamonds (1 unit)
  • Cemetery (1 unit)
You can also still access heated washrooms at Centennial Park and Rotary Athletic Park — we’ll keep those open as long as possible to support anyone enjoying the parks this season.
Once we see several consistent nights of -5°C or colder, we’ll need to close the heated washrooms for the winter, to prevent any freeze up (especially if doors are left open).
Thanks for your understanding — and for helping us by keeping those washroom doors closed to stretch the season a little longer!
