Municipal Mini - 2025 Financial Report Now Available

The Town of Olds has released the 2025 Financial Report. This report looks back at the financial challenges of 2024 and explains the steps we’re taking to build a stronger, more stable future.

Over the past year, the Town has made some tough but important decisions—like lowering debt, adjusting services, and selling assets we no longer need. These changes weren’t always easy, but they were necessary to help the Town operate more efficiently and responsibly.

The report focuses on three key goals:

• Renewing infrastructure – Fixing aging systems, especially in water and wastewater.

• Building fiscal resilience – Reducing debt and improving how we manage our money.

• Planning for the future – Making sure all Town-owned properties serve a clear public purpose.

Looking ahead, we will keep focusing on what matters most: maintaining infrastructure, managing spending carefully, and supporting new housing and business growth. 

The road to recovery takes time, but progress is already being made. This report is part of our commitment to transparency and building a strong, sustainable future for the people of Olds.
