Have Your Say In The 2025 Budget Planning Process!
The 2025 budget survey is now underway from the Town of Olds. The survey will be open from May 27 to July 5 and the feedback received will help Council shape the 2025 budget. This survey allows residents to provide their direct feedback on the budget process by selecting top spending priorities on a wide range of topics affecting our community.
Resident feedback, ideas, and suggestions are invaluable as we make decisions about how to allocate resources and prioritize initiatives that will enhance the quality of life for our community.
Last year’s survey results indicated that residents were looking for change within our solid waste schedule. This feedback led to increased service levels in our residential schedule moving from a 3-week rotation to a 2-week rotation. It further increased to a weekly pickup for organic waste (green bins) during the spring and summer months, in addition to opening a branch dump in May 2024.
This year, the Town is seeking feedback in various areas, including RCMP services, Municipal Enforcement, Economic Development, and Housing.
To participate in the survey and provide feedback, community members are invited to visit our website at www.olds.ca/engagement before July 5, 2024. The results of this survey will be presented to Council on September 3, 2024.
