The Town of Olds is looking for a Casual Operator – Sportsplex. Join our Sportsplex team and help maintain an active, safe, and vibrant facility for all ages.

Role and Responsibilities
As a Casual Operator at the Sportsplex, you play a key role in the upkeep and readiness of the facility. The role is focused on custodial duties, preparing spaces for bookings and tournaments and helping ensure the facility is ready for public use. You'll collaborate with the full-time Operators, Supervisor, and other Town departments, taking initiative in both routine and special assignments.

Key responsibilities include:
•    Assisting full-time Operators with general custodial duties throughout the facility
•    Cleaning dressing rooms, washrooms, spectator areas, and common spaces.
•    Setting up and taking down tables, chairs, and event equipment
•    Ensuring safe conditions by following OH&S and Town safety protocols.
•    Offering responsive, friendly service to community members and user groups.
•    Supporting occasional requests from other departments.
•    Assisting with basic on ice maintenance as required

Who You Are
You're reliable, detail-oriented, and take pride in maintaining safe, well-kept facilities. You enjoy working independently but are also a team player when it's time to pitch in.
•    Grade 12 or equivalent
•    Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
•    Valid First Aid & CPR/AED Level C would be an asset. 
•    Related facility maintenance or custodial experience
•    Comfortable working evenings and weekends in a cold environment
•    Ability to lift and move equipment for event set up and take down.
