MUNICIPAL ELECTION 2025

VOTER ELIGIBILITY

You are an eligible voter if you:

are at least 18 years old
are a Canadian Citizen
are a resident of the Town of Olds on Election Day
can provide authorized identification

ELECTION WORKER APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE

Town of Olds is preparing to conduct the 2025 Municipal Election on Monday October 20 and associated Advanced Polls. To ensure the success of the election process, a number of election workers may be required to be hired and trained to conduct election related duties in addition to any other Provincial mandated vote opportunities required.

CANDIDATE NOMINATIONS BEING ACCEPTED

Nomination Period Opened: January 1, 2025

Nomination Day Closes: September 22, 2025, at 12:00 PM (noon)

Interested candidates are encouraged to review the Candidate Information Package made available on the website (see below) and to contact the Return Officer with any questions or to book an appointment to submit nomination papers.

Nomination Day Closes: September 22, 2025, at 12:00 PM (noon)

Advance Polls will be held at Jean’s Place at 4912 51 Avenue on:

Thursday, October 9, 2025 – 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM
Thursday, October 16, 2025 – 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM (noon)
Saturday, October 18, 2025 – 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM

Election Day: Monday, October 18, 2025 (10:00 AM to 8:00 PM)

Sunshine Bus – Accessible Community Transit

$5/ride; Bus operates Monday to Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Available to all, with priority given to older adults & persons with disabilities.

Bounce House (indoor at Olds Sportsplex, only)

Ages 2–12 | Max 15 kids
Exclusive use of the bounce house and access to Auxuiliary Floor Surface for your event. Also includes games such as Giant Jenga, Yardzee and Tetris, tables and chairs and washroom access.
