    On March 28, 2025, Olds RCMP was dispatched to a report of a serious assault that occurred in the Town of Olds. Upon arrival, a female victim was located with multiple serious injuries. Investigation led to a male suspect being identified.

  • Olds RCMP Charge Two With Drug Offences

    On March 27, 2025, Olds Crime Reduction Unit observed drug trafficking activity in the Town of Olds. With the assistance of Olds RCMP, a traffic stop was conducted, and subsequent to an investigation, 238 grams of suspected methamphetamine were located.

  • Olds RCMP Warning Public About Phishing Scam

    Olds RCMP has received many enquiries from the public regarding an unsolicited text message being received. Scammers are sending fictitious "RCMP Delivery Notice" messages; the texts state that the RCMP has been unable to deliver court documents and ask people to "please reschedule the delivery to avoid missing your court date by using the link below."

  • Olds Fire Department Responds to Fire-Related Fatality

    On Friday, November 29, 2024, at 11:17 PM, the Olds Fire Department was dispatched to a residential structure fire at 4617 48th Street in Olds following reports of an active fire in the basement and an occupant trapped inside. Upon arrival, fire crews encountered light smoke and fire conditions in the basement living area. Tragically, a deceased male was located at the scene. The fire was quickly extinguished, and minimal damage was sustained by the residence.

  • Olds RCMP Charge Male With Drug Trafficking

    On Aug. 31, 2024, Olds RCMP attended a room at a local hotel while continuing an ongoing drug investigation.

  • Plains Midstream Canada Donate Truck to Olds Fire Department

    In a generous contribution to the community’s firefighting capabilities, Plains Midstream Canada has donated a 2018 GMC 2500 pickup truck to the Town of Olds Fire Department. This donation boosts the department's ability to respond to wildfires across Alberta.

  • Olds RCMP Recover Stolen Vehicle And Military Equipment

    On July 25, 2024 Innisfail RCMP received report of a Chevrolet truck being stolen in their area. The owner liaised with RCMP and with the help of on OnStar GPS police were able to track the stolen truck to a rural property on Range Road 25 in Mountain View County. Olds RCMP continue the investigation and have yet to identify a suspect.
