Humpty's Champions Cup April 29 - May 3, 2020

The World’s top curlers will be in Our House! Humpty’s Champions  will be in town from April 29 to May 3, 2020.

Travelling to Olds, AB, for the community’s first Grand Slam event, the Humpty’s Champions Cup showcases the top 12 mens and 12 womens winning teams from the 2019-20 curling season in one final showdown. The exceptional talent pool, including the season’s Grand Slam champions, will compete in round-robin play for a combined $250,000 purse and the coveted Humpty’s Champions Cup title.

When will you announce the teams attending?

Because the competition field is comprised of the biggest winner of the season, we have to wait to find out the full field in March 2020. As of now, some of the teams who have alread won qualifying events include: Koe; Boettcher; Einarson and Tirinzoni.

When do tickets go on sale?

Full Event passes will be going on sale in early Fall 2019. 

Weekend passes, and single draw tickets will go on sale at a later date.

When will we know the broadcast schedule?

The Humpty's Champions Cup will be broadcast nationally on Sportsnet. The specific broadcast details will be announced closer to the event.

What is the economic impact of an event like this?

This event is really a showcase for the Olds Community. In addtion to the more than 120 athletes that will be staying in the area, there will be coaches, families as well as production and event teams from Sportsnet. This is close to 250 visitors that will be eating, drinking and staying in the region for nearly a week.... not to mention the fans!

Olds will be on display across the country on Sportsnet, as well as internationally with streaming broadcasts.

This is an international field comprised of the best curling teams of the year - it is what sets this event apart and attracts fans from all over the world!
