Amenities:
Playground Equipment

Located at Horizon School

Ryan Boutwell Memorial Playground is wheelchair accessible and is named after a former Horizon School student, whose family built the original playground at the school. When the former playground structures required replacement an extrodinary fundraising effort by the Horizon School Parents Association allowed for the equipment to be totally replaced and officially re-opened in Ryan's honour on May 19, 2016.
This park is specifically designed for people with special needs.  The equipment is brightly colored for the visually impaired and the equipment also features braille.  There are pieces that make noise, and that you can interact with.  The park is designed for play and to ensure a sensory experience for young and old alike. The equipment was chosen for students from aged 4-20 years to ensure that there were pieces that were designed for children to adults for accessibility.
Hartmann Green and Ecole Olds Elementary School playground are adjacent to this playground.
