Neil Leatherdale Memorial Park is a Kiwanis-built playground, with play structures designed for children aged 5-12 years old.

This park was named in honour of Neil Leatherdale, former publisher and owner of the Olds Gazette newspaper, a career that spanned 53 years.
Neil's contributions to the Olds community were extensive, and his leadership brought to fruition town landmarks such as Mount View Lodge, the Olds Hospital and Care Centre, Olds and District Sportsplex.
Neil served as Olds Town Councillor, school board trustee, hospital board trustee, member of Olds College Board of Governors and Red Deer College Board of Governors, and appointments to many boards and committees locally and provincially. He was past Worshipful Master of the Mountain View Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M.; life member of B.P.O.E. Olds Elks Lodge #100 and life member of Royal Canadian Legion.
