The Municipal Planning Commission (MPC) is a development authority for the Town of Olds as outlined in Bylaw 2019-23. Appointed by Council, the membership consist of 3 Council members and 4 public members at large.
MPC meets the third Thursday of each month to consider development applications that are listed as a 'discretionary' use and/or require a relaxation/variance in the requirements of the Town of Olds Land Use Bylaw
These applications are presented at monthly meetings and are either approved, with or without conditions, or refused.
Meeting Format Changes Due to COVID-19 Health Crisis
As of March 27, 2020 the Meeting Procedures (COVID-19 Suppression) Regulation was enacted to assist local municipal governments meet Municipal Government Act legislative requirements for holding public meetings.
The April 16 Municipal Planning Commission meeting will be held without the public body present. The meeting is being held electronically through ZOOM MEETINGS.
