Regional Intermunicipal Subdivision & Development Appeal Board

As of January 1, 2019, the Town of Olds became part of a Regional Intermunicipal Subdivision and Development Appeal Board that replaces the local appeal process.

A Regional Intermunicipal Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB) Bylaw 2018-43  has been established to serve 18 municipalities across Central Alberta. The SDAB is an impartial tribunal that hears appeals on planning and development decisions. Board members receive training and are compensated for hearing appeals. 

The Regional Intermunicipal Subdivision and Development Appeal Board is a quasi-judicial board that hears appeals on planning decisions made by several municipalities across Central Alberta. The SDAB is responsible for conducting impartial, fair and timely hearings. The SDAB serves the following municipalities:
