Nu2U Thrift Store

Location: 5032 51 Street, Olds, Alberta


Nu2U is a unique thrift store run by volunteers in the community.  Donations of household goods and furniture are accepted and sold through the thrift store. Nu2U grant funds are generated as a result of the of sales and are placed in a reserve fund. More than $300,000 has been granted out since 2010 to programs and services in Olds. 

Volunteers Needed

If you have some spare time and would like to volunteer with this great group, please call Gayle at 403.556.3279 or email Nu2u is open Tuesday - Friday from noon to 5 pm. Sale proceeds go to local community groups in the way of grant dollars.

Grant Eligibility

Your community group may be eligible for a Nu2U grant if your project meets the following criteria:

  • Supports  health and wellness initiatives for families in Olds and area.
  • Supplements programs or services of other organizations that support active lifestyles or health and wellness in the community.
  • Provides furnishings or program support for these programs and services

Nu 2U Grant Application & Guidelines

Grants are given out twice a year. Applications are available at Nu2U Thrift Store and the Town of Olds administration office.  Grant application deadlines are March 15 or October 15.

Want to Donate?

If you wish to donate items to Nu2U, please call 403-556-3279, Tuesday to Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The following are a list of items that are not accepted for donation:

  • Clothing and footwear
  • Toys including stuffed animals
  • Textbooks
  • Older style TVs
  • Hide-a-beds
  • Exercise equipment
  • Building supplies, including light and plumbing fixtures
