Town of Olds Fire Ban Effective August 16, 2021

Due to the dry weather and extreme fire conditions, a Fire Ban is now in place for within the Town of Olds limits. The Fire Ban is effective immediately, and will remain in effect until further notice. Outdoor fire pits, campfires, and or any open flames/fire works must be immediately extinguished, and no person shall start a fire as per Section 12: Fire Bans of the Town of Olds Fire Bylaw 2018-28. Please note that the Fire Ban does not include gas or propane appliances like BBQ’s designed for cooking or heating of food, portable propane fire pits, pellet burning devices, and patio heaters (propane or infrared/radiant).
