Olds RCMP seek assistance in locating male wanted for violent offences
April 11, 2025 Olds, AB - On March 28, 2025, Olds RCMP was dispatched to a report of a serious assault that occurred in the Town of Olds. Upon arrival, a female victim was located with multiple serious injuries. Investigation led to a male suspect being identified.
Dustin Martin (39), a resident of Olds, was charged with the following offences:
• Break and Enter
• Aggravated Assault
• Unlawful confinement
• Assault while choking, suffocating or strangling
• Assault
• Uttering threats
• Criminal Harassment
Martin was held in custody and released after a judicial interim release hearing. Martin was directed to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Didsbury, Alta., on April 7, 2025, however, he failed to attend. As a result, Martin was subsequently charged for failing to attend court. A warrant for Martin's arrest has been issued.
Anyone with information on the location of Martin is encouraged to call the Olds RCMP or their local RCMP detachment.
UPDATE April 14, 2025 - Olds RCMP seek assistance in locating male wanted for violent offences
April 14, 2025 Olds, AB – On April 11th, 2025 the Olds RCMP released a request for assistance from the public in locating Dustin Martin to the Media.
Within a couple hours the Olds RCMP received credible information that led to the arrest of Martin.
Martin was held for a Judicial Interim Release Hearing and was remanded into custody. Martin was compelled to appear before the Alberta Court of Justice in Didsbury, AB, on April 14, 2025.
The Olds RCMP would like to thank the public for their help in locating Martin.
