Olds RCMP assist Youth in getting their bikes ready for School

August 12, 2021

Olds RCMP along with partner agencies will be hosting a “get your bike ready for school” event on August 20.
School aged Youth under the age of 18 are encouraged to bring their bike to the gazebo located in Centennial Park in Olds, between noon and 4 p.m. on Friday, August 20.
Members from Olds RCMP, Olds Municipal Enforcement and Olds Fire Department will be on hand to help youth understand the laws and guidelines around safe bike operation.
A technician from Revival Bike works will be on hand to do a quick check to ensure the bike is in good working order.
As all youth under the age of 18 are required by law to wear a helmet, members will assist youth in adjusting their helmet to ensure it will protect them in the case of an emergency.
Bells are also required to be on bike, we have a number of bells on hand and will install a bell onto the bike as required.
So parents bring your school age children out to centennial park with their bike and helmet so we can help get them riding safely into the new school year.
