The Town of Olds is pleased to release their annual budget overview to the community.
As part of the Town’s Corporate Strategic Goal to improve communication with citizens and stakeholders, administration has prepared a “2021 Budget Booklet.”
The budget booklet includes key highlights from the 2021 Operating and Capital Budgets. During these unprecedented times of COVID-19 pandemic, the elected officials have been focusing on sustaining current levels of service, maintaining infrastructure needs, providing safe programming, and protecting the health and safety of our residents.
The report encompasses 18 pages containing a wealth of information regarding municipal budgets and financial reports. The information is brief but comprehensive. Each section features ‘Did You Know’ snippets that provide a summary of key information related to various topics.
“Key operating highlights include a zero percent tax increase, wage freeze for staff and council, and the creation of a new Protective Services department. Capital highlights for 2021 include the addition of a roundabout on Hwy. 2A and intersection improvements at 70 Avenue,” stated Mayor Muzychka.
The 2021 Budget Report can be viewed on the Budget Section of the Town website.
