BERRY DELICIOUS MARKET GARDEN, Olds
U-pick or picked for you saskatoons, strawberries, and garden produce including tomatoes. There is a playground and picnic area on-site. Call 403-556-3837 for tours. Open July 15 - September 15 (weather-dependant) 9 am - 9 pm daily. Please call ahead to make sure they're open. Cost for items picked determined by bucket size or weight depending on the crop. PEARSON'S BERRY FARM, Bowden
Canada's original native fruit farm established in 1969. Welcome picnics, barbecue, lunches and brunches. Cottage sleeps up to six - self contained or B & B. Refreshment stand, lunch, gift shop, u-pick saskatoons, fresh produce. Processed Foods include jams, syrup, and pies. Located 28 kms west of Bowden on Hwy 587. Phone: 403-224-3011.
GOPHER HOLE MUSEUM, Torrington
The Torrington Gopher Hole Museum features stuffed Richardson's Ground Squirrels ("gophers") posed to resemble the townspeople. Exhibits include gophers dressed as a priest, bank robber, RCMP officer, duck hunter, firefighter, and beautician, among others. Dressed in elaborate costumes and framed by elaborately painted backdrops, the gophers pose in cabinets, There's no doubt that the World Famous Gopher Hole Museum is unique. Open June 1 - September 30 from 10 am - 5 pm, daily. Cost: Adult (14+) $2, Child (5 - 13) $0.50, Child (under 5) free. Suggested Length of Visit: 30 minutes. CUSTOM WOOLEN MILLS, Carstairs
Custom Woolen Mills is a working museum located near Carstairs. Have been producing woolen and exotic fibre products on unique industrial revolution machinery for over 25 years. Products include: carded wools, rovings, spinning rolls, batts, wool yarns, knitting kits, socks, comforters, mattress pads and hand-woven blankets. Come take a tour of the mill and browse through the showroom in the countryside. Open for self-guided tours from 9 am - 3 pm Monday through Friday. PASU FARM, Carstairs
PaSu Farm is a truly unique combination of restaurant, fine dining, a boutique with quality handcrafts, and working Farm. Break away for a few hours or a day and discover that PaSu Farm has something to offer all visitors, young and old. The warm and unpretentious hospitality will charm you and you'll be sure to return. The working part of PaSu Farm welcomes scheduled tours. Any group, from pre-school children to seniors can come and learn about how wool is sheared, washed, dyed, carded and spun. The Boutique is eclectic and features an outstanding range of moccasins, fine wool fashions, sheepskin coats, hides, blankets and much more to delight the discerning shopper. RCMP DOG TRAINING CENTRE, Innisfail
This centre is the only RCMP dog training facility in Canada. Obedience, agility and criminal apprehension training take place in the vicinity of the centre. Visitors will see a short video of the centre and dogs then watch a short demonstration of teams in training as they learn some of the above skills. Open May to October (please call to confirm dates). Demonstrations offered to the public Wednesdays at 2 pm only. Suggested Length of Visit: 1 hour. Cost: Free. THE JUNGLE, Innisfail
Strawberries, potatoes, cut flowers, sweet corn. Processed Foods include jam, strawberry shortcake, and strawberry lemonade. Vegetables include: spinach, radishes, pickling cucumbers, field cucumbers, squash, pumpkins, and artichokes. Come get lost in the Corn Maze, open from August to Close-up.
