Installing or Replacing a Water Meter
All water meters must be purchased from the Town of Olds and installed by Town of Olds Utilities staff.
For new construction, meter installation requests must be received at least two working days before installation is required. All wiring must be in place for both the meter and an exterior remote reading device before we will install a meter. You can phone us, email us, or fax us your Meter Installation Request.

The cost for all water meters is the Town of Olds cost plus a 10% administration fee. We offer water meters in the following standard sizes: 5/8", ¾", 1", 2". For information on sizes larger than 2", contact the Utilities Administrator.
If you are an existing Town of Olds Utilities customer and think there may be something wrong with your water meter, contact the Utilities Administrator and we will arrange for our Utilities staff to check it for you. A deposit of $150 is required for all testing of water meters.
