If you are constructing or installing a detached garage, regardless of size, you need both a Development Permit and a Building Permit from the Town of Olds. All construction or installations must comply with the Alberta Building Code, the Safety Codes Act, and the Town of Olds Land Use Bylaw. These regulations apply to both pre-fabricated buildings AND those built on-site.
