The Olds Fire Department Community Directory is part of the Emergency Services Department that also includes Disaster Services.

The Fire Hall is located at 4829 50 Street. The department consists of a full-time Fire Chief and approximately 38 volunteer firefighters. It provides fire protection for Olds and the surrounding area in Mountain View County. The Olds Fire Department works closely with the RCMP Community Directory, Olds Search and Rescue Community Directory, and Mountain View Regional Emergency Services Community Directory to provide superior emergency response for the residents of Olds. The department runs a campaign for Muscular Dystrophy and supports local charities and events. Watch for information on Fire Prevention Week every October in local media.

Volunteer Firefighters receive honoraria for training. To be eligible for membership, volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, physically fit, willing to take AFTS courses and must live in or near the town of Olds. The Olds Fire Department recruits for Volunteer Firefighters once or twice a year, and details and deadlines are advertised on this page and in local media. The following Firefighter Application package link is active only when the Fire Department is recruiting.
