Olds Family & Community Support Services (FCSS) is funded by the Town of Olds and the Alberta government. The FCSS Board provides assistance for community service programs that build on the strength of the family and the community and are preventative in nature. All programs and services must meet an identified need in the community and relate to the provincial guidelines. Contact Community Services for more information.
The Town of Olds Social Development Department (services formerly provided by Olds Neighbourhood Place) strives to promote the development of supportive environments for children and families. Social Development builds community by bringing people together who want to work together to address gaps in service, and to provide, enhance, support and link resources.
Social Development:
- advocates for families and communities
- can provide a single point of access to services
- helps to coordinate programs and activities at the community level
- provides for ongoing community input, participation and awareness
The Social Development office includes the Healthy Families Program and is located at Town Office, hours of service are 8.30 am to 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday.
