Olds is concerned about the health and welfare of its citizens and is monitoring the H1N1 Influenza situation daily. During an emergency, your first responsibility is to yourself and your family. When disaster strikes, you may not be able to rely on normal services and infrastructure, which may be disrupted temporarily or on a large scale. You may have to look after yourself for an extended period of time.
Knowing what to do when (not "if") a disaster strikes will help you better control the situation and be in a better position to recover more quickly. No community is equipped to handle all the demands of a catastrophe - help your community by preparing and helping yourself.
