The Town of Olds is currently involved in a Municipal Sustainability Pilot Project. The Aquatic Center is conveniently located on the Olds College campus. It features five lanes, waterslide, and hot tub. Visit with our Town Crier and Bell Ringer, Denis and Judy Patry, during Olds Fashioned Christmas. Olds is a vibrant and thriving place with exciting business opportunities, including Industrial Parks. Welcome to Olds, National Winner in the 2005 Communities in Bloom competition.
 
Elections

Municipal Elections throughout Alberta are held every three years. The current Olds Town Council is in office from October 2010 to October 2013. The next Town of Olds Municipal Election will take place in October 2013. Elections are held in accordance with the provincial Municipal Government Act.

As of noon on Friday 22 October 2010 it is confirmed that the following six persons have been elected to the office of Councillor:

The incumbent Mayor Judy Dahl is acclaimed as Mayor as no other nominations were filed for that position.

The estimated number of persons eligible to vote in the Town of Olds Municipal Election was 5600. The number of citizens who actually voted was 1484, for a voter turnout of 26.5%.
