- At any given time, the Town of Olds employs approximately 80 full time, part time, seasonal, casual and contract staff. The Town is organized into five main departments:

- Community Services is the largest department and includes Parks & Facilities (Sportsplex, Aquatic Centre, etc.), Family & Community Support Services (FCSS), and Cemetery.
- Operational Services includes Public Works & Utilities, Bylaw Enforcement, and Planning & Development.
- Corporate Services includes Finance, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Utilities billing, Reception, Property Taxes, Communications, and Information Technology (IT).
- Legislative Services includes administration for the CAO and Town Council, Human Resources, Economic Development, and Corporate Affairs.
- Emergency Services includes the Fire Department and Disaster Services.
- Each department is managed by a Director, with supervisory staff playing important roles in the management of areas with the departments.
