The Town of Olds is currently involved in a Municipal Sustainability Pilot Project. The Aquatic Center is conveniently located on the Olds College campus. It features five lanes, waterslide, and hot tub. Visit with our Town Crier and Bell Ringer, Denis and Judy Patry, during Olds Fashioned Christmas. Olds is a vibrant and thriving place with exciting business opportunities, including Industrial Parks. Welcome to Olds, National Winner in the 2005 Communities in Bloom competition.
 
Olds Cemetery

Located just south of Olds on the west side of Highway 2A, the Olds Cemetery grounds are owned and maintained by the Town of Olds.

Fees for grave Opening and Closing vary depending on the type of burial, the time of year, and the time of day and day of week. Opening and Closing of graves should take place between 8.00 am and 3.30 pm Monday to Friday. No burials are permitted on Sunday. If burial service is required after 3.30 pm or on a Saturday or a Statutory Holiday, additional fees will apply.

Burial orders must reach Town Office two full working days (48 hours) before burial is to take place. Permits must be obtained from the Town of Olds for all interments, disinterments and monument placements. There are restrictions on size, location and material of monuments. Maintenance of Monuments is the responsibility of the family of the deceased.

Costs and fees vary depending on whether the purchaser or deceased is/was a Resident or Non-Resident of Olds:

RESIDENT (as defined in Bylaw 01-08) - a person whose primary residence is in the town of Olds, or has resided in the town of Olds for the majority of the previous ten consecutive years.

NON-RESIDENT (as defined in Bylaw 01-08) - a person who has NOT resided in the town of Olds for the majority of the previous ten consecutive years.

Cemetery Plots
These plots are for below-ground burial (4 - 6 feet).
  Resident Non-Resident Opening & Closing Fee
Adult lot (1.21 m x 3.05 m) $500 $1100 $440 - $990 (depending on season & day of week)
Youth lot (under 18 yrs old) $350 $550 $220 - $990 (depending on season & day of week)

Field of Honour
This section is reserved for the burial of Veterans.
  Resident Non-Resident Opening & Closing Fee
Adult lot (1.21 m x 3.05 m) $350 $350 $440 - $770 (depending on season & day of week)

Cremations
Cremated remains may be interred in a Cemetery Plot or in the Columbarium (see below).

Adult/Youth lot (1.21 m x 3.05 m) $400 $600 $220 - $990 (depending on season & day of week)

Columbarium
This is an above-ground structure within the cemetery grounds that contains niches for interring cremated remains.
