The task force consists of five members - two are public-at-large, with one representative from each of the following local organizations: Olds Elks Lodge, Royal Canadian Legion and the Olds & District Evergreen Club.
Meetings are held in March and November.
- The mandate of the task force is to undertake the provision of transportation for seniors and disabled persons, including:
- operation and maintenance of the Olds Sunshine Bus
- determining a schedule for service availability
- providing for a booking system
- determining the eligibility of individuals using the bus
- advising Town Council regarding proposed annual operating budgets and five-year capital budget
Those interested in participating as Olds Sunshine Bus Committee Members are strongly encouraged to attend at least one board meeting for an overview on the roles and responsibilities of the Committee Members.
